Vision & Purpose
At Calvary Chapel South Bay Bible College, our desire is to provide a place where serious and committed Christians can study and learn about God as they draw closer to Him. Our extension campus program is designed for those students who are unable to attend college full time or who wish to stay at home while they go to school.
Our vision is that each student would be fully and completely instructed in God's Word before they are sent out to do the work God has called them to do. Our goal is a simple one: that each student would leave each class knowing Jesus better. Our commitment is to follow the Lord's leading and the example He set in all that we do, to assure that vision and reach that goal.
Philosophy
Calvary Chapel Bible College exists for one very simple purpose: “To enable men and women of all ages to come to know Jesus Christ more fully and intimately through the careful study of God’s Word.”
We believe that regular, Holy Spirit inspired, verse by verse Bible study is the way that God reveals Himself to His children. Calvary Chapel Bible College is a Biblically based ministry. The Bible is our final authority in all we do and believe.
Calvary Chapel Bible College is a place where believers can study the Word of God, adore Jesus in worship, serve Him in love and get to know Him more intimately. If we know Jesus better when we leave the Bible College than we did when we came, we have achieved our goal and the ministry is a success.
We also believe that the primary purpose of life, the reason for our creation, is that we may know the living God. We believe that all Christian service and activity is secondary to knowing God personally. Relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the essence of Christianity. Therefore, our goal is to know Him more every hour of every day.
