H.I.S. CLUB – WHAT IS IT?

H.I.S. Club is a discipleship club for boys and girls grades K-9th. H.I.S. stands for “His In Servanthood.” Our theme Scripture is Matthew 20:27-28, “And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life a ransom for many.”

Like many others in our church and in our nation, we are concerned with children’s spiritual development.

H.I.S. Club offers an environment where a child’s faith will be strengthened and challenged. Through materials and activities that center not only on memorizing God’s Word, but applying the Word of God to their lives, they will be able to have a deepened understanding of the Scriptures.

Fun with a purpose will be an important part of this experience. We believe that good relationships are crucial to the Christian walk. Activities will focus on this. Team members will discover how to work together and how to encourage others.

One of the most important things that will take place is growth – spiritual growth. As children learn to hide God’s Word in their hearts, the Holy Spirit will give them the ability to put into action what they have been learning.

You can be an important part of a child’s spiritual journey as you encourage them to work through the workbooks, to commit to memory God’s Word, and to help them understand the meaning of Scripture.
