How to Be a Masterpiece in the Hands of the Grand Master

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10

One thing I love about art museums is the different levels of skills the artists have.

Some paintings I’ll admire but think to myself, “Man, my 5-year-old can do that!”

Others I’ll think are just okay, or a little above average.

But then there are some that completely blow me away!

These are paintings by artists whose gifts from God are so exquisite, simply amazing, that I could never replicate their artistry, not even in a million years.

Believe it or not, this concept applies to our walk with Jesus Christ as well.

Similar to these beautiful paintings in the art galleries, you are God’s masterpiece.

How You Are a Masterpiece in God’s Hands

Every one of us are at different spiritual levels, and we have different spiritual gifts.

We come in all different shapes, cultures, and sizes, but we all serve the same God and are given the same power by the same Holy Spirit.

We are all new creations in Christ Jesus, purposed to do all that God has planned for us to do since before the foundation of the world.

Success as a Christian isn’t measured by how many Facebook friends we have, how attractive we think we are, or by how much money we have in our bank accounts.

True success and fulfillment as a child of God come from loving well, being faithful wherever God has called you and remaining obedient to His Word.

Our mission in life is to reach our full potential in Jesus Christ.

Fulfilling our purpose is doing whatever God tells us to do every single day, regardless of what it is, or how significant or insignificant it might appear to be.

Are You Using the Gifts God Gave You?

God has given you specific spiritual gifts, individual talents, and countless resources because there’s a great need for them in the world today!

There’s a need for you!

God chose you to be His hands and feet here on earth, and He knows who He got when He chose you.

“Ask God what’s your assignment, what is He asking you to do? Do that. And do that very well.”

– Pastor Banning Liebscher

You were born, then saved, and then filled with the Holy Spirit of God, because there’s a calling on your life to further His kingdom.

You’re called to bring God glory, and to infiltrate this fallen world for the Kingdom of God almighty!

When those difficult days, stressful situations or seemingly unending trials come your way, don’t listen to the lies of the enemy.

“When life deals us more than we can handle, we can rest in the reality that God can handle it.”

– Pastor Michael Hidalgo

Remember that nothing is too hard for God, and with Him on your side, nothing He puts in your path will be too hard for you either.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

We have been fearfully and wonderfully made. God has amazing plans for our lives, and has called us out of this world by name!

God’s Plans For Your Future

God’s plans may not always make sense to us.

They may not always turn out the way we hoped they would.

However, we can rest assured in knowing that God’s plans are to give us a future, a hope, and are ultimately for our good!

We can find joy in knowing that “we are God’s work in progress, and He is not finished with us yet.”

– Pastor Greg Laurie

It’s so amazing to me how much our heavenly Father loves us. When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He gave us an undeserved inheritance.

When we accepted Him into our hearts, we were born again with His Holy Spirit and adopted into His royal priesthood.

We need to find our identity in Jesus Christ, not in this fallen world.

We need to place our confidence in His ability to mold us, shape us and transform us into who He has predestined us to be.

God’s grace is more than enough for us, and the possibilities for our lives are endless when we surrender them to the Lord.

Our God is sovereign. Our God is supreme. And our God is working in and through our lives in mysterious, wondrous, and extraordinary ways.

Only He knows what our destiny is, so let’s surrender all we are to Him.

Let’s trust in Him completely, and let’s enjoy our journey every single step of the way.

You are God’s masterpiece, created anew.

All of your dreams, all of your plans, leave them in your Father’s hands.

Let Him have His way in you.
